Next, step into the Forbidden City, the world’s largest imperial palace complex, showcasing magnificent architecture and rich history.
After lunch, take a leisurely walk through a traditional Hutong near Shichahai Lake, immersing yourself in old Beijing’s charm. Majestic Mutianyu Great Wall & the Serene Summer Palace
Day 2 commences with a pick-up from your hotel lobby and transfer to Mutianyu. The Mutianyu section of the Great Wall of China is a less crowded and (in our opinion) more scenic section of this world-famous landmark. Choose between a cable car, chair lift or an exhilarating toboggan ride for your ascent and descent.
Afterward, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before traveling back to Beijing City for additional sightseeing. The afternoon includes a visit to the Summer Palace, a stunning imperial garden with tranquil lakes, lush pavilions and impressive historical structures. Following your visit to the Summer Palace, return transfer to your Beijing Hotel to enjoy the late afternoon/evening at leisure.

Day 3 – Stay overnight in Xi’an
Cultural Gems and Journey to Xi’an
Begin the morning by meeting your tour guide and driver at your Beijing Hotel Lobby. The tour will begin with a visit to the Temple of Heaven, where emperors once prayed for good harvests. Nowadays, it’s a lively park where locals engage in activities including Taiji, singing, dancing and socializing.
Next, visit the bustling Pearl Market for souvenirs and a glimpse of local commerce including all types of products for sale – the market itself is a unique attraction in itself. Following lunch, transfer to the High-Speed Railway Station and board a high-speed train to Xi’an.
Upon arrival into Xi’an, you’ll be greeted by your driver and transferred to your Xi’an Hotel for a relaxing evening at leisure.

Day 4 – Stay overnight in Xi’an
Exploring Xi’an’s Ancient Wonders
This morning, meet your guide and driver at your Xi’an Hotel Lobby before transferring to the highlight of Xi’an – the Terracotta Army. Xi’an greets you with the awe-inspiring Terracotta Warriors, an archaeological marvel featuring thousands of life-sized clay soldiers and horses. Your guide will join you exploring the complex, providing context and historical insights.
Following a visit to the Terracotta Warriors, return to Xi’an City and visit the Big Goose Pagoda. This famous landmark is significant Buddhist site dating back to 652 AD. After a late lunch, stroll along and explore Muslim Street, a vibrant marketplace teeming with delicious local snacks and unique souvenirs.
Return transfer to your Xi’an Hotel to conclude the day’s activities and the late afternoon/evening will be at leisure.

Day 5 – Stay overnight in Guilin
History of Xi’an and Flight to Shanghai
Meet your guide and driver at your Xi’an Hotel Lobby and start your day with a visit to the Xi’an Ancient City Wall. This attraction is one of the best-preserved city walls in China, offering spectacular panoramic views overlooking the entire city of Xi’an.
Thereafter, Visit the Drum Tower, Bell Tower and the Great Mosque, each reflecting Xi’an’s rich cultural tapestry. Conclude your Xi’an travels with a visit to the Hangyang Tombs Museum, blending ancient history with modern technology. After this sightseeing, transfer to Xi’an Airport for your departure flight to Shanghai.
Upon arriving into Shanghai, your driver will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your Shanghai Hotel for an evening at leisure.

Day 6 – Stay overnight in Shanghai
Shanghai’s Blend of Tradition & Modernity
To commence the Shanghai part of the tour, visitors will spend the first day in and around Shanghai City, visiting the different highlights within the city and its surroundings. Start the day off by exploring the historic Long Hua Temple and Pagoda, Shanghai’s oldest temple, before heading to the bustling Old Town and tranquil Yu Garden, a masterpiece of classical Chinese landscaping.
Wander through Xintiandi, a trendy district home to numerous cafes, restaurants and restored Shikumen houses. Following lunch, visit The Bund, a waterfront area showcasing colonial-era architecture before crossing the river to the Pudong side of New Shanghai. Wrap up the day with a tour of the Lujiazui Finance and Trade Zone, home to futuristic skyscrapers including the Oriental Pearl Tower and Shanghai Tower. Return transfer to your Shanghai Hotel to enjoy an evening at leisure.

Day 7 – Stay overnight in Shanghai/END OF TOUR
Picturesque Zhujiajiao Water Town
Today’s tour begins with a visit to a local park & alleyway within the Former French Concession Area. Thereafter, visit the Little White House and enjoy a lunch at a nearby local restaurant.
In the afternoon, transfer to Zhujiajiao Water Village, an ancient riverside village with charming stone bridges, traditional architecture and serene canals.
